Prices and Sales Tax
All of our prices are in CAD Dollars.
Sales tax will be added to any orders shipped within Canada. Sales tax is not charged on orders being shipped outside of Canada.
Customs fees or taxes are separate from the shipping charges, and are not the responsibility of Sage Stone Malas and Meditations. Customs fees and taxes will vary. Contact your local Customs office if you have any questions or concerns about these fees. All packages shipped will include a declaration indicating the contents, with full value for the order listed. International customers may be subject to import duties, fees and taxes, which are levied after a shipment reaches their country. If a shipment is rejected because of customs clearance charges or refusal to accept delivery, the customer will be responsible for any fees incurred, including international shipment and handling, as well as a 25% restocking fee to account for the time involved in receiving the return, processing the return, restocking the inventory, and administrative time.
Many of our items are handmade to order. Orders may take up to 21 days to be handmade depending on the production schedule. If you are in rush, please notify us so that we can advise you on expected delivery times, which may be design specific.
Orders placed on back ordered items will be shipped once the entire order is available to ship, unless arranged otherwise. We will contact you if shipping will be more than 2 weeks delayed.
Shipping costs will vary according to the order. Tracking is provided on all orders.
Rush orders and expedited shipping may be available at an extra cost. Please contact us directly to discuss.
If you do not receive your order within the expected time frame, please contact us directly.
Seller is not responsible for any delays in shipping due to customs, delay on the part of the courier, or delays caused by strike or labor disputes with the shipping service.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they enter the correct shipping address. Any returned packages arriving back to our studio due to unclaimed status or wrong address status will be shipped to a correct address at the buyers additional expense or can be refunded at the request of the customer. However, any fees incurred to receive a returned shipment that was rejected by the postal service due to an incorrect address entry are the responsibility of the customer and will be deducted from the return, this includes shipping charges, customs charges, and a 25% restocking fee.
Sage Stone Malas and Meditations is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.
Custom designs may be created collaboratively, with private consultation. A request to change string material/color, color of metal or type of stones is also considered customization. Please contact us directly if you desire a custom piece. Surcharges may apply. Expect your custom design to take at least 6 weeks to fulfill. All custom designs are final sale.
Customization of bracelet sizes alters the count of the mala beads. This customization costs $7, and makes your piece a final sale item. Custom sizing is not available on sale items or during sales, as pieces are pre-made to accommodate demand.
It is very important to us that our customers are happy with their purchases. If you would like to make a return or exchange we are happy to accommodate your request. Pieces that are made to order are subject to a 25% restocking fee if returned. This fee accounts for the time to process your return, which includes customer correspondence, the shippers time, and bookkeeping time, lost shipping fees, loss of packaging materials. Shipping fees are not refundable. Please expect your refund to take up to 7 business days to process once your package is received back. Orders that are returned must arrive back in the exact condition in which they were sent. Worn or used items are not returnable. Customers have 30 days to exchange a purchase. Packages must be marked “return of goods to seller” with $0 declared value for the purposes of customs. Any package marked return to sender for which Sage Stone Malas incurs a C.O.D. fee to pick up will be deducted from the value of the return.
Custom Malas, sale items, and earrings are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Repairs and Restringing
Our Mala beads are intended to be long lasting. They are made with high quality, strong materials to ensure their longevity. Please contact us if you have issues with your Mala, we do offer repair service on our products. The labor on repairs is free for breakages that occur within the first 60 days of receipt. After this time, if you would like a repair, the customer incurs the tracked shipping fee both ways, and agrees to pay a $50 CAD repair fee (for 108 bead malas) which accounts for the labor time to complete the repair, the new material required to re-string your Mala and the replacement of lost gemstones or guru beads. The repair labor fee on a bracelet is $10 CAD, and the customer is responsible for the fees to ship the mala back and forth with tracking. We do not offer repair services on Malas not purchased through Sage Stone Malas and Meditations.
Repairs may take up to 6 weeks to complete.
We offer resizing on our pieces. If you require a resize please contact us. Resize service costs $5 CAD. The buyer is responsible for the fees incurred in sending back the item for resizing.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers. We will never sell, loan, rent, trade or give away your name, or email address. We use email to communicate with you about your order and to let you know about Sage Stone Malas and Meditations, all newsletter subscribers have the option of unsubscribing at any time.
